The Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye is unique within the Van Winkle program: where every other expression is a wheated bourbon, the Rye uses the low-rye mashbill shared with Sazerac 18 Year and Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye. At 13 years of aging and 95.6 proof, it delivers dark fruit, dried spice, anise, vanilla, and warm caramel — a complexity that younger rye whiskeys simply can’t produce. Released annually in the fall BTAC/Van Winkle allocation cycle in extremely limited quantities.
