Description
The world’s most recognized tequila bottle, in the 1.75L format. 8 months in oak. Hand-painted by Mexican artisans. Zero shortcuts.
Clase Azul Reposado is the bottle that changed how the world thinks about premium tequila. Made from 100% organic Tequilana Weber Blue Agave slow-cooked for 72+ hours in traditional stone ovens, fermented with a proprietary yeast strain, and aged 8 months in a blend of Bourbon, Cognac, and Sherry casks. The result is a tequila that sits comfortably alongside aged spirits from any category.
The 1.75L format delivers that same hand-painted Talavera-style ceramic decanter at nearly 2.5x the volume of the standard 750ml — the right choice for stocking a bar, gifting in a way that makes an impression, or simply not running out. Each decanter is individually hand-crafted and hand-painted in Jesús María, Jalisco, meaning no two are exactly alike.
Tasting Notes
- Appearance: Intense amber with a silky, rich texture.
- Aroma: Woody and fruity with vanilla, toffee caramel, and cooked agave sweetness.
- Palate: Smooth and full-bodied. Cooked agave up front, transitioning to vanilla, fruit, and gentle oak spice. Remarkably approachable at any experience level.
- Finish: Warm, medium-long, with a clean caramel and oak fade.
The Decanter
Every Clase Azul bottle is hand-crafted and hand-painted by artisans in Santa María Canchesda, Mexico. The 1.75L decanter carries the same iconic Talavera-style design as the 750ml — just significantly larger. After the tequila is gone, it functions as a decanter, vase, or display piece. It’s genuinely one of the most distinctive bottles in the spirits world.
