Jack Daniel’s — a single barrel Tennessee straight rye from Jack Daniel’s Tanyard Hill warehouse, the first annual release of the Tanyard Hill Rye program and a historic milestone: straight rye whiskey from the world’s best-selling American whiskey distillery, made with the Lincoln County Process.

Jack Daniel’s is best known for its Tennessee sour mash whiskey, but the distillery also produces straight rye under the Lincoln County Process — the same charcoal mellowing applied to all Jack Daniel’s production. The Tanyard Hill Rye program draws single barrels from the Tanyard Hill warehouse, aging the rye mash through the same extreme barrel cycling that produces the distillery’s most concentrated expressions. The result is a rye whiskey with both the spice and grain character of the rye category and the mellowed smoothness that the Lincoln County Process imparts — a combination no other distillery produces.
