Frank Sinatra called Jack Daniel’s the nectar of the gods and drank it throughout his performing career. When the Jack Daniel Distillery set out to honor that friendship, they didn’t simply bottle an older or stronger version of Old No. 7 — they engineered new barrels. The proprietary grooved-stave barrels have ridges cut into the interior stave faces, exposing more charred oak surface to the maturing spirit and accelerating extraction of caramel, vanilla, and oak tannin. The result is a whiskey with more oak character and depth than the standard lineup, while retaining the smooth, charcoal-mellowed character that made Jack Daniel’s Sinatra’s drink of choice for half a century.
