Description

12 years. Cask Strength. Redbreast — the natural proof version of Ireland’s most celebrated single pot still whiskey, presenting the same 12-year American and European oak matured pot still at cask strength — non-chill filtered and batch released, with each batch carrying its own natural proof reflecting that group of casks.

Redbreast has been the flagship of the Midleton single pot still range since its relaunch in the 1990s, and the Cask Strength expression provides the most direct access to the pot still character without the water addition of the standard 46% bottling. Single pot still Irish whiskey — made from a mash of both malted and unmalted barley in a copper pot still — produces a richer, creamier, more full-bodied spirit than column-distilled grain whiskey or single malt, and at cask strength those characteristics reach their most concentrated expression.
